If you want to see an original nativity scene, letting yourself be enchanted by little kids spinning like skittles, then the Taurisano youth nativity scene is the one for you.

At the entrance, to welcome the incredulous visitor, there is a whole chorus of little angels. One more mischievous than the other. But also one more tender and nice than the other.

A little further on, we have a truly original encounter. We find the wool workers, with an age range that goes from a few years to many dozens.

The two generations, so distant and apparently far away, share a seraphic enchantment in doing without haste and with great joy, a noble and ancient profession as humanity.

Anyone who sews must be careful not to prick their fingers. Especially if it's a tiny human dressed up as a granny.

The journey continues in a triumph of innocence and elaborate commitment. With children convinced that they are doing the most important thing in the world (and how can we blame them?).

After crossing the palace where the nativity scene is represented, that is, Palazzo Corina, with three floors. You arrive at the final refreshment, with pittule, wine and lots of music animated by special musicians. The rhythm of the tambourine is marked by the tireless hand of a boy who has not yet grown a beard, but who has divinely learned to unbend his wrist to beat the ancient Salento instrument with strength and energy.
