Sagnette are a pasta format born out of improvisation, out of that wonderful creative spirit typical of Apulian cuisine. According to tradition, they were invented almost by chance, on a hot Sirocco day, when the art of making do and a passion for good food gave life to an irregular but irresistibly authentic format.
Produced with durum wheat semolina and whole-wheat semolina, Sagnette are bronze drawn, a process that gives the pasta a rough and porous surface, perfect for holding the richest and most flavourful sauces of the Mediterranean tradition.
