Il presepe vivente nell'Archeodromo del Salento

Not far from Lecce, around the town of Caprarica, there is a theme park dedicated exclusively to History. It is the Archeodromo del Salento.

Every year, a living nativity scene is organized inside the park with dozens of figures engaged in the most varied tasks.

Amore di Puglia has been snooping around the streets of the nativity scene, meeting carpenters, blacksmiths, ceramists and cooks. There were also animals and the Nativity hut.

The Archeodromo is the perfect setting to relive the emotion and charm of the living nativity scene.

The route is full of extraordinary scenography, historical settings reconstructed ad hoc and luminous decorations that blend in with the stars of the night.

The nativity scene in Kalòs is a concentration of magic and beauty, an emotion enclosed in the careful study of the reconstructions, in the meticulous attention to detail, in the dazzling lights and in the warmth of the figures moved by passion and religious spirit.

The visitor is literally catapulted into the little Bethlehem of 2000 years ago, full of markets of all kinds, innkeepers and innkeepers with their dishes prepared and distributed according to local tradition.

The gentle slope of the Archeodromo offers a spectacular setting, which is well suited to the sacred representation and the re-enactment of the ancient artisan trades of the past.

Jobs that in the Salento dialect are called: conzatraini, scarparu.

The reference to the rural economy is strong and meticulously curated, but also to the Roman world with the reconstruction of Herod's sumptuous court, with the presence of the centurions of the Legio X Fratensis.

The entrance fee is 1 Euro, and inside you can buy food prepared by various artisans of flavours.
