The Bay of Turks is one of the most beautiful and evocative beaches in Puglia. It is located within the protected oasis of the Alimini lakes. The name comes from the history of Puglia, the Turks landed in this bay before conquering the nearby city of Otranto in 1480.
Its beauty derives from the clarity of the sea and the sinuous shape of the inlet, and there is a choice between a free beach and a lido with umbrellas. All around is a succession of windswept reeds and Mediterranean scrub. A true paradise for nature and landscape enthusiasts.
It is a Blue Flag beach and is listed among the places defended and protected by Fai.
