The “Manduria, Land of the Messapians” museum is located in the former Augustinian convent and exhibits numerous and exceptional archaeological finds that come from the funerary objects of the Messapian necropolises of the city.
The finds include in particular trozzelle (typically Messapian), armour, gold, terracotta helmets, ceramic vases, jugs, lamps, decorative bracelets, gold-covered terracotta earrings, bronze bracelets and bronze belts.
Among the unique pieces in the world there is the GUTTUS pig, that is to say a bottle used to feed Messapian children. It cannot be said that in the past they did not pay attention to the little ones.
